Social media can be a good and bad influence on anyone. It doesn't matter how old you are, or where you live. Since social media is online, it can be accessed from around the world. Social media affects just about anyone's life because it's in the news, or on an app or website on your phone, tablet, or computer. I feel that social media is more negative than positive of an influence. Most of the time, the juiciest gossip isn't always the bright sunny day things, but more of the worst things, such as celebrities being "exposed." A couple of ways that social media can have a negative influence on people is by bad role models, cyber bullying, viruses, not exceed-able expectations for teens, and exposure to inappropriate content for younger users. Although there are many negative things, there are some positive ones too. Some of these positive things include funny videos, communicating with friends, making videos and sharing them, "feel good" posting, listening to music, and being a time waster or boring eraser. Truthfully, I have never been bullied on social media, but I do frequently use it. All in all, social media can be a menace, and the holy grail at the same time.
