Cameron Muniz- Happiness

One of my favorite songs to listen to when I'm happy is Don't Stop Me Now by Queen. It is one of my favorite songs that is almost guaranteed to put me in a cheery mood. According to a study done by a neuroscientist named Dr. Jacob Jolij says that Don't Stop Me Now by Queen was one of the happiest songs around. Why?  This is because the BPM (beats per minute) is super high. The average BPM of pop songs today is around 118 BPM. The BPM of Don't Stop Me Now by Queen is 156 BPM. Not only is this song scientifically proven to make you feel happy but, the instrumentals such as the guitar make my feel like I'm walking on cloud nine.

Happy songs to fit the mood of me being happy (which by the way is almost always) is any song by Coldplay... yes, again. The reason is staying the same, but I'll just give you the gist. They are just so upbeat, and the visuals are so weird, that it is almost comical. The combination of great music, and great visuals of course equals a great song. Most of their songs are on top of the charts, or you know... my chart. Even if everyone else doesn't like them, I'll still listen to them, and I'll always love their music.

When I'm happy I like to listen to the song Billionaire by Travie McCoy ft. Bruno Mars. I listen to this song because it is upbeat and catchy.  I also listen to this song because I have known this song for a long time and it brings back memories of driving to New Hampshire with my Nana. This song keeps me happy and it makes me think about everything I want to do and want to be when I'm older. This song makes me think about all the possibilities of what I can be in the future.

                                              Happiness

Sometimes, you might be happy, and need a good song to capture your mood. You might be with friends, and want to listen to that song that you can all dance to. Or, maybe it's a song that you know all of the words to, and just like to sing along to it. The song that makes me feel happy, or a song that I play when i'm happy, is "feel's like the first time" by foreigner. It is very upbeat, and has a good purpose. It is about a man feeling actual true love for the first time, or finding it for the first time. I know most lyrics and I like to sing along!

Happy by pharrell Williams  sort of describes how I try to live my life Happy and all that sometimes. Other times it is not happy but that is life. I don't really have any specific moments to describe happiness because I sometimes struggle to remember things.

Musical Emotions Happiness

A song I listen to when I'm happy is " I took a pill in Ibiza" by Mike Posner. This song is not exactly the happiest song in the world to people, but to me I like it. I like to listen to the song not because of the content but mostly because of the beat and the background music. This song is really upbeat and I love to listen to it and its really catchy. I just think its a fun song to listen to.

Musical Emotions- Happiness

I'm happy really often, so not many specific times pop up when I try to remember one, but one time that stands out to me because I just did what I did for sadness, is immediately after I moved like how I explained earlier. Now remember, at the time it was the summer before 6th grade, so I decided to look out the window and saw someone I knew in the yard of the house across the street. I won't release their name, even though I'm sure they wouldn't care. I was really happy to see them because I thought that I wouldn't be able to make any friends at my new school. Although it was by pure coincidence that I met them a month after they moved away, that saved me. Thanks to them, I'm now friends with everyone I am friends with, and am here typing this now. And, for some odd reason, the song that comes to mind when I read this is Pompeii. Although its about a disaster that happened in Pompeii itself, it still sounds upbeat and is easy to follow the rhythm in.

Happiness

Finally something good. happiness is something that can't be quenched for ever so if you have a burst of happiness I recommend this song to go with it. So the song is Indestructible by Matisyahu. He is just a pure singer and again he is a reggae singer so he really is my style. Its about exemption. And the day I listened to it was when I made a high level baseball team called the Legends . And I listened to the song and it encouraged me to do more and strive to the top of my team. He helped me a lot and the song did too, it is defiantly a goose bump causing song.

Musical Emotions; Hapiness

There are a lot of songs that I listen to when I'm happy. But the song that makes me really happy is "Never Forget You" by Zara Larsson and MNEK. It makes me think back to this program. When I graduate eighth grade next year I will never forget this, but most importantly Mr. Epple, he has helped me through middle school and has given me advice when I needed it. I am really appreciative of Mr. Epple. I will Never forget him.

Musical Emotion Happiness

There is too many times that I've been happy that there arent any that really pop to the top of my head. I never want to stop being happy, so the song that I play to show I'm happy is Nova by Ahrix. The song starts off slow but then speeds up in a very upbeat manner. The song doesn't have any words but the music makes me very happy.

Musical Emotions - Happiness

In my life one my happiest memories is probably going to Disney just because of the food, people, friends, family, and great rides that were there. Unfortunately though when I was there I got really sick and couldn't go to sea world. Luckily though when I was there I got some pins from Disney that aren't being made anymore. One song that makes me happy is probably what a wonderful world because it reminds me that although everywhere in the world isn't a great place I am very lucky to live where I do and be able to have experiences like Disney that not everyone can have.

Musical Emotions- Happiness

Think about it.  What is the soundtrack of your life?  What songs inspire you?  Enrage you?  Comfort you?  Allow you to be yourself?  Release you?  Allow you to cry?
I could go on, but I think you get the picture.  I want the bloggers and readers to think about the following emotions:

Anger/ Rage

Sadness

Happiness

Loneliness

Comfort

Relief

Pride

Loss

Think about how you deal with each emotion, or a moment in time where you felt this emotion.  What was that moment?  What were you going through?  How old?
Many deal with life and emotions through music: an artist/ song/ album.  For this post please take each of the emotions listed above (or others, if you want to talk about them) and write a little blurb about each one.  What was your experience with this emotion?  I then would like you to tag a musical piece to the emotion.  At least one song or artist.  Briefly explain why the song/ artist fits with your particular emotion, then please either attach the music video (through a link) or attach a picture that show this song/ artist that is related to the emotion.

READERS and BLOGGERS: This is a multiple week project.  We will tackle one of the emotions each week on our blog.  The posts will reflect the emotion of the week.  Thanks for reading.
